Peregraf- A drone or missile attack struck Riaya Hill in Sulaymaniyah — known locally as UN Hill — with smoke rising from the site, marking the first attack on the city amid heightened regional tensions.

The strike comes as the war involving the United States, Israel, and Iran continues into its fourth consecutive day, with multiple air defenses and interceptions reported across northern Iraq.

Meanwhile, the Kurdistan Region capital Erbil has faced an intense wave of attacks, with around 100 missiles and drones launched in recent days. U.S. defense systems intercepted all incoming threats before they reached their targets, according to officials.

The attacks have been attributed to Iran and armed factions affiliated with the so-called Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a network of Iran-aligned groups operating within the country.

The escalation underscores growing concerns over the spread of the conflict into northern Iraq and its impact on civilian areas and regional security.
