Peregraf - The Ministry of Peshmerga reported that two of its headquarters in the provinces of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah were struck by drone attacks on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. The assaults left three Peshmerga fighters wounded, according to an official statement.

The Ministry described the attacks as “irresponsible aggression,” noting that Peshmerga facilities have faced repeated bombardments in the past. Authorities previously informed the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces and the Joint Operations Command of these violations.

The Ministry of Peshmerga condemned the attacks as terrorist acts and called on the Commander-in-Chief to take immediate legal and operational measures to stop such assaults, warning that these strikes pose a direct threat to regional security.

Officials stressed that urgent action is required to prevent outlaw groups from carrying out further attacks on Peshmerga forces, which serve as a key pillar of security in the Kurdistan Region.

This incident comes amid heightened tensions and continued security challenges across Iraq as US-Israel war on Iran enters 19th days.
