PEREGRAF — Six members of the Kurdistan Peshmerga Forces were killed and more than 20 others wounded in a coordinated missile and drone attack targeting the headquarters of the 7th Division overnight, according to official and media sources.
The Command of Sector One of the Peshmerga Forces said the division headquarters came under attack twice during the night.
According to the statement, the first strike occurred at 1:50 AM, when five missiles hit the headquarters area but caused no casualties. A second attack followed at 2:50 AM, involving another missile that landed near the base, specifically in the vicinity of Kalakin village.
Medical and legal procedures for the victims are currently underway.
