Peregraf — Nizar Amedi, the President of Iraq, Speaking at a press conference in Sulaymaniyah, called on political forces to move forward with forming the next government.
“The Parliament’s leadership has been elected, and the President has been elected; now, the Coordination Framework must present their candidate for the position of Prime Minister within this period,” Amedi said.
He also stressed the need for political unity in the face of regional developments.
“We must ensure that we make a legitimate decision to protect Iraq from current events. This ongoing conflict is not Iraq’s war; therefore, all parties are in agreement that we must safeguard Iraq and ensure it does not become embroiled in this conflict,” he added.
