Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian Arrives in Baghdad, Set to Visit Erbil and Sulaymaniyah

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has arrived in Baghdad He was welcomed by  Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and is scheduled to visit Erbil and Sulaymaniyah in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Prior to his departure from Tehran, Pezeshkian informed reporters that his visit would also include stops in several Shiite cities in Iraq. His itinerary highlights key discussions with Iraqi leaders, including Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.

According to al-Sudani's office, the visit will focus on regional developments, particularly the situation in Gaza, as well as enhancing cooperation in trade, security, and economic matters. The two leaders are also expected to discuss partnerships in several development sectors.

The visit will culminate in a signing ceremony for multiple memoranda of understanding between the two nations, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.
