The Iraqi Ministry of Finance has firmly denied recent rumors suggesting the government's inability to pay employees' salaries in the upcoming months. The ministry clarified that statements attributed to the Minister of Finance regarding this issue are entirely false, emphasizing that no such comment has been made by the minister.

In its statement, the ministry reaffirmed its commitment to disbursing salaries on time for all government employees, retirees, social welfare recipients, and members of various security branches, including the Popular Mobilization Forces, as per existing laws and regulations.

Regarding salary allocations for the Kurdistan Region's approximately one million employees, the ministry highlighted that the process is based on a decision by the Federal Supreme Court. This allocation, however, is tied to several conditions and obligations. Due to ongoing disputes and complications in the salary distribution process between Erbil and Baghdad, there have been delays, and the salaries for August have not yet been disbursed.

Additionally, the ministry stated that the salary grant for Ministry of Electricity employees is being secured. Monthly audits of electricity wage lists for centrally funded departments are conducted, and these lists are then forwarded to the Ministry of Finance. The ministry reiterated that electricity revenues must be collected and recorded as revenue for the State Treasury to support the Ministry's ongoing expenses.
