A civilian was fatally shot by Turkish soldiers in the Kani Mase district this morning. According to Kamaran Osman, a representative of the Community Peacemaker Teams (CPT) from the Iraqi Kurdistan team, Turkey has killed 18 civilians in the Kurdistan Region so far this year.

The deceased has been identified as Sabah Abdulstar Qumri, who was born in the area. He, along with two other residents of Qumri village, was targeted while they were on Mount Hurure, specifically at the summit of Kafra Sor.

Qumri village is situated in the Kani Mase district within the Barwari Bala region of the Amedi district. Osman noted that the three individuals were shot approximately one and a half kilometers from their village.
