Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani affirmed the Kurdistan Regional Government’s commitment to economic reforms aimed at diversification and investment attraction during his speech at the Delphi Economic Forum, which is being held for the first time in Sulaymaniyah.

Speaking at the high-level gathering, which brings together regional and international stakeholders to discuss economic, security, and geopolitical developments, Talabani described the forum as a "source of pride" for Sulaymaniyah and the Kurdistan Region.

"We will implement economic reforms to diversify and empower youth and women," Talabani said. "Our aim is to attract long-term investors across sectors — from energy and tourism to agriculture and technology."

Highlighting the role of Sulaymaniyah as a hub of opportunity, Talabani stressed the city’s readiness to collaborate with international partners who share a vision for sustainable and inclusive development.

He also praised the region’s growing role as a bridge between different international and regional players, noting Kurdistan's contribution to resolving broader geopolitical challenges.

The Delphi Forum in Sulaymaniyah is expected to address critical issues ranging from energy security and regional stability to investment opportunities and innovation in governance.
